Darlene Keeffe
Darlene Keefe is a modern cubism painter. She uses basic geometric shapes to explore and explain the human body. In my opinion, her color scheme is very appealing to the eye. She uses a lot of soft blues, greens, reds, and yellows to create an almost "faded" look. These colors work really well with the geometric shapes which litter her paintings, often separated by darker black lines. I think her painting are relatively cool because up close you can only see the individual shapes, but taking a step back, you can see the full composition,

Veerakeat Tongpaiboon
Veerakeat Tongpaiboon was born in Khon-Khan, Thailand. He studied architecture in Thailand instead of art due to pressure from his family. After graduating he decided to come to America to become an artist. He saved up and then went to the Academy of Art College in San Francisco for Masters of Fine Art. He does a lot of distorted cityscapes with strange perspectives of locations in San Francisco. His paintings have a lot of movement. He uses an array of colors from bright reds and oranges to muted blues and dark black. He is a local artist and I pass his studio, in his garage everyday on my way to school.
